I once saw an IDOT/enforcemnt officer setting up to wiegh an EMPTY FLATBED SEMI! That's right, it was empty, but---the vehicle enforcement officer felt compelled to weigh it anyway. There is probably some legal requirement compelling him to act stupid in public. How else are we supposed to know that he is doing his job correctly---wasting government dollars!?
