For as long as I can rememeber the JD dealer's been a bigger one that owns quite a few state wide. Reisterer & Schnell is the name, they've got 3 in within 30 miles of me, 1 is mainly lawn & garden, one is out where my dad is from & he worked there when it was Valley Implement (back when he was my age or younger), and the other is also a NH dealer.
Don't know exactly how that works, but they've got brand new shiney Green & yellow tractors and implements lined up right next to shiney new red & yellow implements and shiney blue & white tractors. Must be doing ok, and I just wonder how mother Deere feels about it- Probably the only reason they can get away with it is because they're the biggest and only JD dealer group in this part of the state.
Agco guys are doing fine. Our Massey dealer has gone semi-corporate a while back now (own one other dealership and sell nation wide, as well as internationally), but they've got really good business sense and still cater to both the big guys as the little guys. The other one I go to for Oliver is now Massey too, and they are still a great, family owned dealership.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
