My area is seeing mortgage forclosures increasing, I would say every 3 months the number doubles, at least, and ussually the amount due is far more than the original amount financed. Houses are NOT selling, yet the county is still approving developments left and right. !st house across the road in that new development is having open house this weekend, I have heard asking price is $550,000. Over $100,000 more than I paid for this farm. Wonder if it'll sell? Farmers are upgrading equipment, some are expanding. Low wage jobs are on the rise, high wage/benifit jobs are few. New auto's seem to be all over for some reason. Land prices remain high due to a few wealthy people contuinuing to purchase land for above average prices. This is what I am seeing, I am sure the county and city officials would paint a different picture.
