The economy in Colorado should boom for the next 30-40 years as the oil shale deposits that are on Federal land is developed. More "proven" oil reserves in that area than all of the reserves in the Middle eastern countries (saudi arabia, Qutar, Yemen, Iran, etc.) COMBINED. Couple the reserves in Colorado with the Canadian oil shale and Mexico's regular proven reserves and North America has all the oil we will need for 100's of years (don't forget our coal reserves which exceed in energy equivalent all the oil reserves in the Middle east by themselves.
All that needs to be done is derail those who want to "protect" the snail darters and stripped worms, and get on with developing and producing this stuff. Those days are gone until the standard of living rises in those countries (and it is). We can't produce tractors in the USA (post qualifier) as efficiently as they can. Get over it and find a personal niche to support yourself.
This is not directed to or at anyone in particular. Let's quit whinning and go to work. Bob
