My wife pulls some slick ones too.
When she's not backing into the electric gat ( 4 times now ), she offer helpfull construction advice... here's an example.
On our back pasture, i was cross fencing to make a 3ac pasture for her new mule. I had a round pen setup for it, as well as a stock water tank. I put the fence up and while I was calculating the gate she heard me talking about the 14' tube gate.. and told me no, that she just wanted a small walk thru gate. i tried to explain that we needed a big gate but she actually got a bit mad. Ok.. NO PROBLEM.. I fenced another 9' and put my posts in and went and put her 4' gate up.
Next day we went out there to take some supplies out to the leanto and when i stoppe dthe truck and started grabbing the tack and buckets she looked at me quizzically and said ' don't hand carry all that stuff, just drive over there'.. i asked her 'how?' and then pointed at the 4' gate. You could see it on her face.. it finally dawned on her that the truck ( or tractor ) could now NOT get to the back pasture.
Spent the rest of that afternoon running to lowes to get a tube gate and another post and I 'convinced' her to stay out past dark to help me put the darn thing up ....
Some people ( men included ) just don't get the farm stuff..

As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
