I don't know about the model C, but a friend has a late 60's Dynahoe 200. I'm sure he told me it was a Detroit 4-53 with an Allison trans and that it's made of mostly off the shelf components. I guess the company has changed hands a lot over the years, even being owned by Bucyrus-Erie at some point.
A neat old machine but not dainty, I wouldn't drive near your foundation or over your septic field with it. I think the weight well is over 30,000 lbs...

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
