Aside from regular automotive type acrylic finishes, your only other reasonable choice is Marine paint. Some of these are brushable single part epoxies that come out pretty nice and will weather well. My favorite brand is 'Easapoxy' by Pettit. About 12 to 14 bucks a quart, but goes on very nicely with a foam brush and 'lays down' very well. There's a big marine mailorder house called WEST Marine that has this kinda stuff. With a little practice you can put on a finish that's hard to tell from sprayed acrylic until you get really close. bbott
