Satoh S-650G Parts Below is what I have been able to find for parts so far in the normal automotive market. The following ignition parts were all purchased from NAPA for a total of about $52.00. Not bad considering Homestead Tractor wants $139.00 for a tune up kit. 1.) Plugs = Champion N4C (They use a stocking number now and that's 803) 2.) Ignition wires = NAPA Belden, 7MM 4cyl Part # 700172 (universal, but excellent match) 3.) Distributor cap = NAPA Echlin Part # EP710 (says it's from a YALE Forklift Truck 1971-73 with Mazda engine). 4.) Rotor = NAPA Echlin Part #EP710 ( same forklift as distributor cap) 5.) Point contact set NAPA Echlin Part # CS360 ( These are from a MAZDA RX3, 1971-73) The Condenser is from the same Mazda RX3 (I do not have that part number). 6.) Service manual = from this site PN SA-S-650G, $39.95 call 1-800- 443-0625 and ask for On-line orders. The person I talked to said he could also get rebuilt starters and alternators for Satoh's. 7.) Parts Manual = Homestead Tractor has one available for $49.95 (number below) 8.) The Motor is a Mazda Engine 60.2 cu. in.(986cc), I have not found an engine match in a Mazda car or truck yet. I've heard of some partial success found with matching some parts to a 1,136 cc engine from a Mazda truck (probably in the 1971-73 area). The motor was definitely used however in Yale forklifts from 1971 to 73 that had a gas Mazda engine. Here are all the numbers I have found that claim to be able to supply some parts (or may know of sources). You'll have to check them out yourself. · Homestead Tractor = 760-240-1610 · Ted at RM Wade Co. = 503-641-1865 · Stull Co. = 1-800-229-7885 · Charlie Livermoore (Someone recommended his name to me) = 716-526-5827 · Sherry = 1-800-445-3943 · Lowe's Tractor = 812-663-8928 I'm looking for a valve cover gasket for the engine and exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe gasket. Any other questions, my E-mail is (dave.e.sobczak@jci.com) Good luck, keep letting everyone know if you can find S-650G parts through normal automotive channels, otherwise they are very $$$$$$. Dave
