Over here the larger tractors are often fitted with front 3 point hitch to mount an extra implement to utilize the full HP of the tractor. They can also have front PTO. So for grass work they can run a front mounted mower and a rear mower on rear 3 point. For cultivation they can run extra cultivator on the front and a cultivator/drill unit on the rear. Or an extra seed hopper on the front, with air blowing seed back to the drill/cultivator on the rear. The extra weight on the front adds weight to the tractor for traction with the front wheels.
