When FORD got control of the AUTOLITE name,AUTOLITE brought back and continued useing the old (Prestolite) name that was used on the old carbide lamps used before the bulb.YES, the product was the same.I remember when the USA made points had the(N/E) stamped in the movable side which stood for (North East)ignition.Then JAPAN took over in the early (60s).If the two distributors are the same (dimensionally)it would work.The advance is adjustable in those old designs.If the replacement has a gear which could cause a problem.If you post the exact numbers of these one of us may have the specs for you if you need them.CENTAUR
