The spot sprayer is ok if your trees arent too big. Best to try one out at a dealer if you can and see if you can a fine enough mist at a height equal to your trees. If you end up with a stream the higher up you have to go, its just going to run off the tree and do no good what so ever. I purchased a refurbished power back pack sprayer from Solo for 1/2 the cost of a new one. Also use an old (about 50 years now) push type tank sprayer w/ a briggs/stratton engine and hypro pump. I can get 300lbs pressure with a fine enough spray up to about 20 feet high.
