Am I asking for trouble if I put 1/2 dozen 200-300# dairy steers in the same lot as 2-3 bred cows?? Winter lot is about 120'x300'. I figured I could make a small feed area the cows couldnt fit through for the calves to get their feed. Any advice. Also, could some one email me what their dairy steer process is, ex: wean age, daily feed rations, pen sizes/# critters. Just want to compare and see what others do compared to what I think I am doing right. Thanks in advance.
