Hmmm, my first guess would be fuel filter, second lift pump. What color smoke? if any? Is it a surge loss, or a constant loss? Fuel chip? If all that checks out ok what about a fuel pressure reading coming off the filter to the injection pump? Some of these have a filter in the tank, real bear to replace.
If I remember correctly its supposed to be 10psi minimum off the lift pump to the backside of the injection pump. Last time mine got weird on me it was reading ok on fuel pressure but slightly spiking when it cut out. Narrowed it down to the pump, or not. They wanted to sell me a new pump, seems that some of the bio blends and some of the LSD blends muck up the guts of the pump. In my case it was a computer problem. The overdrive driver and the RPM driver were cancelling eachother out. Ended up taking it to Chrysler and getting the overdrive driver shut off. Cost me alomost 1 MPG and 200 bucks but the other option was 3 grand for a computer.
