Find you some open-pollinated corn and save you a bag or two of it for seed ,thats what I do. I plant from 5 to 10 acres a year for feed and it does me good. It won't have the yields a Hybrid has but a whole lot cheaper. Go to a search web sit and type in open pollinated corn. I plant Reids yellow Dent and had a bunch of 11 and 12 inch ears this year. There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
