Haven't visited the site suggested by the other reply.. but here's my advice... 1) get the tire off the ground. The easy way to do this is take a 4x12, bout 2 or 3 feet long. chainsaw (or whatever) grooves in it so the chain can lay down in the grooves in the same pattern it has when on the tire. Back the tractor up so the tire's on the 4x12 and wrap the chains up from both sides. 2) Use HEAVY duty rubber bungee cords for tensioners. if you are going in mud (logging) get steel chain/spring style tensioners and safety wire them. don't skimp on 'em. if you can keep the chains tight, the battle's 'bout won. bbott
