I pull a 15' JD 1517 batwing with a NH 7610S. Pulls good. Makes it work hard in 3'tall weeds in 5th gear but pulls good.
I know guys that pull the same mower with ford 6600 /6610's
I know a guy that has pulled a batwing with a ford 5600 or 5610.. but he was on flat ground and just clipped the black tops off horse pasture... I really think 15' batwing is too much for the 5xxx.. though perhaps a 12' or deffinately a 10'.
I pull a 10' mower on my ford 5000 and it handles it just fine.
I got my JD at a good price.. so i can't complain. I do believe the legend's series look nic (er) though..
I notice that howse finally just came out with their 15' batwing mower.. etc..
