EWK, First off, Here on the forums we have had the discussions waaaaay too many time on which Batwing shredder is best! Do not get any one companys bottom of the line shredder. There is NO Substitute for Steel wt. and thickness. Most Important is HP rating on the gear boxes. Take my word here, For on this subject I AM an Expert, period. Get the highest hp gearboxes possible. We have an older Rhino SR-15M. It has 180hp divider, and 150hp main boxes. I have personally put more stuff through this old darlin than any 10 regular guys would. 10 ft cedar trees w/ 8in bases on down, Oak trees too, dead logs that would have torn up lesser shredders . I do not care what flavor of shredder you buy, Just remember deck thickness and gearbox hp rating, We pull this shredder of ours with a 76 JD-4230 110hp open station, 3 remotes w/ a Koyker loader. It would probable be the best shredder/loaader tractor around if it had a power shift. Hope this helps! Later, John A.
