What you have to do is take the lever and pivot point apart clean and lubricate it. I even put a zerk (grease) fitting on mine. The pivot shaft and sleeve on the lever get dirt and water in them and rust up. eventually it will get to the point where you wont be able to engage the transfer case. So take it all apart and clean the sleeve an pivot so everything is nice and shiny, and then make lubricating that setup whenever you get under there to grease everything. Remember that whenever you submerge the hubs when four wheeling your shortening their life water and don't mix and the water will eventually wash all the grease out of the wheel bearings and on that vehicle the hub and bearings are unitized and you have to change the whole works when a bearing goes south.
