I'm more than a little partial to Oliver/White so my vote, given your criteria, goes to the Super 77, Row Crop 88, or similar later models. Very few tractor enthusiasts will be able to provide competent arguments against the fact that these tractors were, in their day, the Cadillacs. Smooth, economical 6 cylinder power, true live pto, convenient, easy controls, comfort, and power. Did I mention power yet? Compared to their competition, these machines had more power, delivered it more smoothly with longer life in many cases, and did so all while providing comfort and ease to the operator. So many more subtle details contribute to these tractors' supremacy; but that's enough for now. The Olivers get my vote.
