You may have a few different problems causeing that. One is you maybe chokeing it and not needing to do so. #2 You may have a dirty fuel tank and thats getting dirt in the carb and causeing the needle not to seat as it should. #3 your not turning off the gas when you park it. First thing I would do is make sure you have all 3 filters on it like you should. Ones in the tank at the top of the sediment bowl and you have to remove the sediment bowl to see if its there. #2 is a screen in the sediment bowl, its up at the top and the gasket sits on it. #3 is in the elbow on the carb where the fuel line hooks up.
