Since I never gave tractors much of a passing thought until about a year ago, and selected the tractor I actually bought based purely upon what I needed it to do as well as what was available locally...I can objectively state that the Ford 8N is definitely the best tractor around from a purely aesthetic sense. The form follows function design aesthetic is perfectly reflected in the 8N, I believe it to be a truly beautiful tractor. That being said, and what I have discovered in the last 6 months about USING tractors there is definitely much more to the "Best Tractor of All Time Crown" than history and good looks :-) I really would like to own an 8N someday, although I prolly wouldn't do a whole lot of work on it. The one currently for sale in the Photo Ads is a real beaut.
