Hello Everyone,
Just wondered if anyone out there has any experience with the above mentioned configuration. I just took the plunge and bought a 42" LCD. I hooked it up to my service and found the picture quality to be fine in close-ups etc. but suffered with wide camera views. There is very little sharpness and it is frustrating since this thing cost a good size buck. I looked into the settings and could not find any changes to improve things. Keep in mind, my previous television was an old CRT. The receiver is from Direct TV. Do you think upgrading to a digital receiver will help. I am not critical enough to want to pay for high definition TV, but would like things to be as clear as with my old set. I basically wanted a bigger screen. The one I bought was the Toshiba 1080 p Regza 42".
