Tonight I went out to feed my old farm cats and make sure they were still okay.
Bein a softie I'd already bought them a heated dog (well, okay, cat) house, so's they wouldn't outright freeze up on me. Upon hearing my approach, they came a-boundin' across the prairie, like a thunderin herd of buffalo, all two of them.
I reached down to get their bowls to fill with food and water and, Lo! Behold! I hear a growlin from the depths of yon heated cat house. Lordy!
My 3-million candlepower Orscheln special spotlight revealed a fat old coon comfortably nestled therein, quite at home, thank you.
So, I shot it. Twice. Both exposures came out nice. Big bright eyes, furry, fuzzy coat. Surprised "Who, me?" expression.
Then I tilted the cat house up and suggested he go find somewhere else to bivouac. The ole coon looked at me like "Man, you are a pain in the b*tt". as he waddled off. Kinda felt sorry for the old guy.
The cats were all about eatin and "Thanks, dude. That guy is a real freeloader. We were all like whatever."
