Did you clean the suction screen when the oil was drained out? If not, a plugged screen is your best hope for a cheap fix. Drain the oil, remove the suctoin tube from ther rear housing, remove the 4 bolts from the screen flange (whrer the suction tube bolted on), pull the screen out, clean or replace it.
