No move yet, not even close. We just bought 35 acres up there and just got back home to NY a few days ago after seeing the property, signing papers, and camping up there for two weeks. First couple of days it was tee-shirt weather, then got colder and rainy, and the last few days and all the way home, it was snowing. We had a slide-on truck camper and had to drain all the water out of it before it froze up. One day we tried to cross the big-Mac bridge at Mackinac and couldn't do it because the wind was blowning so hard. Nice thing was though - all the state campgrounds were empty - we were the only people in any of them - except for some deer-hunters laying out piles of sugar beets for deer-bait.
When this time of year comes, I find it hard to imagine being somewhere where you don't have to worry about the cold and starting diesels.
Here are some photos when we pulled over by the shoreline of Lake Huron. My little kid did NOT want to get out of the truck. The wind was blowing so hard it knocked my little kid over and even my dog could hardly stand the wind.
