Ever move a combine without an engine? An experiance not unlike that of trying to push a long chain. :>)
Have just about got the old gal gutted and was to the point of needing the torch, welder and power tools, so it was time to move 'er out of the implement yard and around to the shed where I keep my stuff. Took me and the old H an hour to move it 200 yards.
Unhooked the hoses to the steering cylinder to let the pressure off and steered it using a 5' wrecking bar. Move 6' and change the wheels, move 6' and change the wheels. :>)
Machine on the left is a year older, 3200 engine hours and totally field ready. One on the right has 11,000 separater hours and will be under repairs for an extended period of time yet. :>)
