no henery ford built the 9-n and the 2-n and harry fergeson sold them and had part,s fracise also all equipment sales,the originall 9-n hydrulis were a joint venture between henry ford and harry fergeson, when henery ford died in april of 1947 his grandson came to power at ford, and could find no writen contract on the tractor,so he took dealership,s back from harry fergeson, then we start with the 8-n starting in 1948, harry fergeson took them to court and the battle lasted till 1954 wen a setlment was made to the favor of harry fergeson, harry fergeson also produced atrator called the to-20 in america and in england called the te-20. 1954 sucsesfull farming magize has the court order,s in it by both party,s, also adco is not owend by fiat -fiat now owens nwe holland and case IH. they did owen allis calmer,s year,s ago and it was a joint venture

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
