Had a problem today, involved a dog. And a gun. Any a chicken. Good news is the dog got the possem, not only the chicken. owner promised to get it in to a new home, and to repay damage, and the sheriff came and wrote up a report. Plan was to call the neighbor and have him come put a bullet in its brain, but he called the dogs owner. Meanwhile my mom decided to call the sheriff, so we had alot of excitement around here today.
Anyways, this weekend is gonna be fun. Selling the chickens dirt cheap, and the keepers are getting kicked out and i'll call the local vet to see what she thinks. Building a new door for the coop, re hanging the gate and improving the fence. Pressure washing with bleech, replacing many of the boards in the coop, and the nest boxes and roosts, then painting the whole thing top to bottom. Also have to set up a cat-proof brooder (plywood box with hardware cloth over the top) then off to the feed store and so on. Having a big fire with old pallets, boards and other assorted crap out of the coop. Thanks for the advice, you guys are great.
