I bought a nice Massey Ferguson 399 but no manual came with it. The ITT manual says nothing about starting. My question is, how long to hold the preheater on before attempting to start? The problem is compounded by the starter solenoid not engaging every time. That"s probably just a lubrication problem as the starter is new, but just haven"t had time to yank it off and check it out Finally, any good suggestion as to where to install an engine heater other than a frost plug model Thanks for any advice, Smiley.
