I have my dads very first gun cabinet. He built it by hand back when he was just in his early 20"s. He"s 74 now. Made all out of some old, old, fir. 3 glass windows in the door, and also has the ammo top. He was given a new fancy one for christmas one year, he was gonna toss this one or give it away, I couldnt see it going so it now resides in my home and my 8 year old wants it some day. He has his bb gun in it now, but I have the key.
