ok from what im reading here i gather that the existing pintle hitch is mounted to a piece of iron going accross the rear frame of the truck, if so , is it a flat plate, angle iron or channell? any place that sells the hitch parts can get just the tube, for about 25 bucks, if you got channell iron behind the pintle, weld the tube on under the channel, your done, just buy the reciver ball drop that you need to match up to the trailer, if its flat or angle iron, get the tube designed to bolt under the step bumper of a pickup with the 3 holes in it, and weld this under the iron and make a rear support going back up to the truck frame, your done , and use the reciver ball set up you need to make the ball the right height, usually about 18" from the ground
