I just finished reading an interesting discussion on page 5 today which included a statement about AGCO being owned by Fiat. This is absolutely false. As I believe most of us are aware, Fiat now owns a controlling stock interest in Case and has merged it with its New Holland line of machinery, which symbolizes the biggest merger of its type in the ag. equipment industry's history. AGCO remains under the ownership of domestic proprietors and, through wise overseas ventures, is currently faring quite well given the agricultural recession in this country. AGCO has a rich heritage and is not simply going to go away, as many hoped it would in 1990.
