Phil, I think your 3000 would be a lot of tractor for that truck. I'm not saying I wouldn't do it.... but make sure the trailer has good brakes and you have enough length to get just the right weight distribution. You want the trailer carrying 90% or so of the weight. A short trailer may not accomplish that... and it would be very important with that truck. A 3/4 or ton wouldn't be bothered so much if there was more weight on the truck. It's somethig you want to be quite careful with... but like I said, I'd probably do it if it was just an occassional thing. I've hauled 3000 pounds of steel on a 6 wheel wagon that weighed 3/4 tonne or more, with my Ranger. No brakes on the wagon either... Things can be done if you're careful.
