The 610 will handle both catagory I and II. The two 3ph arms are reversible. I don't know which way the previous owner had them, but I leave mine set for cat. II and if I have a catagory I implement to use I put adaptors, which are small bushings, over the implement pins. If you will look at where the arms are attached to the tractor, you will find that the attaching pins on the tractor are cat. I.
Be aware that the distance from the pto shaft to the implement does not seem to be standard on all tractors, which no doubt could be a subject for a discussion on its own. Or the implement may have different distances from the hitch to the pto. Anyway, suppose you buy a new rotary mower, sometimes it may be necessary to saw off the pto shaft to get it to fit.
