As you recall, the favorite daughter called yesterday from the airpot cuz after her Toshiba laptop puter went thru secutiry her display was dim n not much color. I tell her dads just cant fix everything..... Anywho she got home and its NOT a battery problem, I removed it n recharged n laid hands n even prayed over it all to no avail, all seems fine, still a dim monochromatic display NO MATTER WHAT I TRY. I hooked it up to a remote monitor n all is great on it. LOOKS LIKE HER LCD IS SHOT maybe the Inverter as a poster noted. I dont think it got nuked, just cuz it got bumped n roughed up in n out all the baskets n handling grrrrrr
I calls the Geek Squad at Best Buy n its under warranty so bring it n they ship it to Toshiba n get it back in 2 weeks. In the meantime all her architecture grad school application info is on it so Im gonna have her set it on my desk hooked to my monitor so she can get that stuff done n printed. When she gets back to Dallas she has all her work computers or her new boyfriends to use I reckon. The first wife wanted to give her the old HP laptop until we go past there after New years but I say noooooooooo I just got it all set up for me to take to Texas myself.
