we have always done it at our Show in NE Missouri give the winners a small plaque have best of show featured tractor, restored tractor, nonrestored tractor, Steam engine, scale steam engine, and oldest steam engine the same for small engines then fartest traveled We have never had anyone complain and have 200+ exhibitors with 400+ gas or diesel tractors 20 steam engines and a lot of small engines. Have done it since we began 21 years ago we dont make a big deal out of it just hand the plaques out in the parade on Saturday plaques are done in memory of a member that passed on that year.
