The way I got if figured there's enough hay here to feed the cows for 4 winters if I sell 20 head of cows a year. (tax reasons)
Started feeding 10 to 20 year old idiot cubes out of the barn this winter. Theres about 4000 of them things in the barn.
I'm not going to reseed any new hay or pasture and the 120 acres of hay and pasture I have now will be wore out in 3 years. Am plowing 60 acres of it this spring to put more corn and beans in.
Thats the plan right now anyway and is subject to change depending on what the cattle and corn markets do.
