It is the nature of the beast. Diesel's run better when warmed to operating temp. You don't say what you are using your tractor for, Are you working it enough to get it warmed up good? If it's not working hard, it wouldn't hurt to cover part or all of the grill in front of the radiator to cut airflow and warm it up faster. Just keep an eye on temp guage. When you start it up, make sure you let it run long enough to get warmed up. I try to make sure I run mine about a 1/2 hour at least. Chris
