I think it's a snob thing. Actually, this set of boards is set up for owners and fanciers of older farm tractors. There's a garden tractor forum here though with links to garden tractor clubs. MTD is still very much in business. Did you call, e-mail, or write them? They probably have lots of information. Sears sold MTD equipment for years, too. Good luck.
