I know every shop has their problems and I know I'll never find that perfect shop, but I know that the BS I had to deal with on a daily basis just wasn't right. I've heard of problems with the new shop I'm starting at on the 14th, but it was all from younger guys I went to schol with who I think were trying to find the best shop that doesn't have any problems.
They have a slightly higher security than most, so it makes lots of guys feel uncomfortable and paranoid. I'm looking forward to working at a shop that is more on the cutting edge of technology and uses newer machines, vs. one that uses machines older than me and expects them to hold .0002 tolerances and repeat all day long. They may hit it once in a while, but it for sure ain't gonna repeat every time with an old worn out machine.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
