The problem is like was posted. The vent hose inside the fill hose has slid down or not put in correctly either when the tank was taken off or when new. If you pull that hose up by removing the fill line there is a place for the vent line to set at the top of the tank and then it will fit right I had to keep this in mind when I took the tanks out to fix them where they rusted out on my 86 ford diesel. never had a problem fueling.
