To check the hyd. oil level, there is a dipstick on the top of the transmission case. where it is flat, to the right of where the pto gear lever goes into the transmission. It may be different on 4wds, but I doubt it. If you can't see the little round handle on top of the dipstick, do some serious looking in the area. I don't know what level the oil is supposed to be, it is different, I think, on 4wd. Google Farmtrac and ask to talk to a service representative.
Have you changed hydraulic oil and filter yet? The filter could be clogged. Remember, if you have the old type of filter with a built in strainer, cleaning the steel mesh strainer might not be enough and you will need a new strainer. If its the later spin on throwaway type, no problem, just replace.
Does your front end loader work off the tractor hydraulics? Some loaders have a separate oil resevoir and operate off the pto, or at any rate, the pto has to be turning for them to work. There is a square 4 bolt plate above the pto shaft that the pump fits in. If the loader is working off the tractor hydraulics the combination of using the 3ph, the loader, and being on a hill may, as the other posts said, starved the hydraulic pump.
