Some of this has been listed before but I don't think all of it. Stopped by JD dealer today and was given a John Deere calandar which lists factories:
JD Waterloo in Waterloo,Iowa makes 7030, 8030, 9030 tractors. John Deere Jialian Harvestor co Ltd in Jaimusi, Heilongjiang, China makes combine harvesters. John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL makes combines and front-end equipment. John Deere Horicon works in Horican, WI, makes lawn and garden tractors, Gator utility vehicles, golf and turf reel mowers. John Deere Commercial Products, Grovetown, GA makesutility tractors and compact utility tractors. John Deere Orenburg in Russia makes air seeding equipment. John Deere Ottumwa Works in Ottumwa, Iowa makes balers, mower conditioners, windrowers, mowers and rakes. John Deere Equipment Private Limited in Pune, India, makes tractors, transmissions and engines. 35-75 hp tractors. John Deere Werke Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany makes 6000 and 7000 series tractors. John Deere Welland works in Welland, Ontario, Canadam makes rotary cutters, loaders, and gator utility vehicles. John Deere Des Moines Works makes Cotton Harvesting, Tillage, Seeding equipment and Sprayers. Industrias John Deere in Mexico makes 5000, 6000, and 7000 series tractors and excavators. John Deere Brasil Catalao in Brazil makes sugarcane havestors.
I used the word "makes" for simplicity's sake. Many of these plants are assembly plants. As of last year I saw John Deere 3ph disc mowers that were Green Kuhns. I asked about the new JD disc MOCOS at a farm show last fall and the representative said they were US made, and the cutaway of the cutter bar was different from Kuhn. A lot of the assembly versus manufacture in plants changes from year to year.

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
