me & my missus met up while stationed in the middle-east during the first Iraq go-round... we hit it off from the first words spoken. Since she was due to return state-side within 4 weeks from the time we met, we were faced with a choice... either get married, or probably never see each other again. We went for it! Everyone we knew didn't expect it to last... we will celebrate our 15th anniversary in a few days. As others have said, there were a couple of ups & downs, but those days are long gone. She is absolutely my best friend... I couldn't get along without her... and wouldn't want to! The two of you obviously have some serious thinking to do, but, if you realize it's right for you... go for it... don't listen to those who'll tell you it can't work.
