Thanks that makes it much easier to look up. Never could see a RM 3177 listed? Edison Splitdorf application charts showed the RM 03057 to fit the Continental F124 as mag being RH drive, flange mount, 20º impulse, 7468 drive cup. The Case V tractor in same charts showed to use a RM 03191, RH drive rotation, 7468 drive cup but 10º impulse lag angle that accomplished by a special stop plate for impulse trip. Why the 10º instead of 20º I don't know as both F124 engines but must have been some reason? Engine drive lugs may not line up and start timing will be off. 5º is not much difference but 10º can affect it a lot. Case 4JMA and 41 mags replace those ES RM later anyway but if you can't find those use a Wico XH-1344 set up for 15º or any Wico, Fairbanks Morse or Bosch mag off a Continental F163 like on Lincoln welders or forklifts would work also being setup the same. That Wico XH is being made new again today and parts are more readily available too.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
