I don't get offended. I really truly do like to hear how so many people can do the same thing, but differently and still get good results. I'm gonna quit welding tho and go back to JB Weld, it's less confusing.
I carry my aluminum heads over to my old friend in Houston to weld for me. But bad news tho, he don't preheat them. His arthritis makes him a little grumpy so I aint gonna ask him why not. He's 78 yrs old and still works 5 and 1/2 days a week.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
