I used to race bikes and still have a whole fleet of them. I would pass on that bike. It is not worth that much money unless it looked like it was barely run.
We need to know more about you and what kind of riding you are likely to do in order to help you out as far as which bike would be good for you. Here is a rule I follow when buying a bike. If it looks used, it is abused. Look underneath the bike and see what condition it looks in. ALWAYS take the air filter out and look at the boot that connects to the carb for dirt. Listen for any squeaks while moving the suspension through its travel. Feel for pitted bearings in the steering stem, check for loose bolts. If you live in an area with moisture loosen the swing arm pivot loosen the bolt almost all the way off and try to push the bolt and see if it slides easily. If not, it is probably seized to the engine. The bikes from the factory come with so little lube every time I bought a new bike I tore them apart and lubed everything.
