I have a couple of these 2 wheel walking tractors i found sitting out with rotted motors. I put a 5 hp honda on one and used it over a winter to clear snow, I did not like how the belt tensioner worked. I could never seem to get it so the belt wasn't turing to change gears on the tranny. Where these machine always like this you had to hang on tight to make sure it didn't take off on you changing gears.
I was wondering if i could put some sort of go cart clutch on the engine and to stop the belt from turning when I wanted to change gears. Would this work.
Im have never seen a go cart clutch working, how do they work is there something better to use that doesn't cost a small fortune ?
