Hi Allen,Words of encouragment, I started hauling my 40 WC with my sons 99 P/Stroke from RC to Gillette Wyo, 140 miles , then with a 4X4 K10 w/305 engine/4spd. Next a 4X4 3504spd. Stepped up to a 3500 454 Turbo 400 dually. Now using a 01 2500 HD 8.1/Allison5spd. The 01 comes the closest to the P/Stroke but still is a little short on hill pulling. That P/Stroke of yours will handle it fine. I like to use 4 3/8 chains and 4 binders. Cross chain if possible. Should have under $125.00 invested. Then the D.O T. guys should just ignore you. Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
