You might want to take a look at this. Handy little reference to most basic info. Most large hardware stores carry it as well as Amazon dot com. The NEC is worthless as a self teaching manual. Takes a course in how to decyhper it to use it. I know , I just took the course a couple years ago. If you do not know Anything about electricity take a course at a community college or possibly on line. It is worth the time and money.
